Refer to the Internal University of Toronto Transfers page for more information on how to apply for admission.

If you have completed courses or obtained an undergraduate degree at another faculty within the University of Toronto, excluding UTSC, you may be eligible for transfer credits. To find out more about your eligibility for transfer credits, please choose one of the options below.

Types of Applicants

Internal transfer from Faculty Arts and Science or University of Toronto Mississauga

If you are admitted to U of T Scarborough directly (i.e. no lapse in studies) from FAS or UTM, all of your courses and grades will be retained on your academic record at UTSC. You do not have to apply or pay for a transfer credit assessment.

Former Faculty of Arts & Science or UTM students wishing to enter UTSC after completing studies at another post-secondary experience will need to apply and pay for a transfer credit on-admission assessment

Internal transfer from other faculties outside of Arts & Science

If you are admitted to U of T Scarborough from another U of T Faculty (e.g. Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Music and John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, etc.), you will need to apply and pay for a transfer credit on-admission assessment

Previous University of Toronto Scarborough experience

University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) undergraduate degree or non-degree (NDEG) students who are returning after an academic suspension of any length OR after no registration for three consecutive semesters (or more) and have taken courses at another post-secondary institution will need to follow the re-enrolment process and may be eligible for post-admission transfer credits.

Second Degree applicants

Students beginning a second degree are normally exempted from first year of the degree requirements by being granted 5.0 credits towards the completion of the degree (4.0 credits at the A-level and 1.0 credits at the B-level), regardless of the number of previous degrees held. To earn the second degree, students must complete a minimum further 15.0 credits as U of T Scarborough students. Please refer to the admissions Second Degree Studies page for more information.

Using your U of T credits

It is your responsibility to follow up with the appropriate academic department(s) to enquire how your credits may be used towards POSt entry requirements and subsequent program requirements.
