inbetween at the DMG

Running from January 19 - February 20, 2011, the inbetween exhibition at the Doris McCarthy Gallery features work by 20 noted Canadian artists, investigating the places and spaces in which our lives are played out.

Using a variety of media - painting, photography, video and sculpture - the artists examine the emotional resonance of spaces, the way they chronicle the passage of time and the accumulation of events.Originally presented at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown, PEI, the show has been reworked for the DMG to feature selected works from the initial exhibition alongside chosen works from the DMG's own Permanent Collection.

Two exhibiting artists will be delivering lectures during the exhibition - Richard Storms on Wednesday, February 9 and David Rokeby on Sunday, February 20.

Ann MacDonald will be leading a lunchtime exhibition tour on Wednesday, February 2, as part of Winter Blues Fest.
