Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) invites UTSC students, faculty and staff to bring their old, unwanted portable electronics for safe and secure recycling on Nov. 5 and Nov. 8.
In partnership with Toronto Hydro, OES will be visiting UTSC to take unwanted electronics off your hands, while the Toronto Hydro team promotes Beat the Peak, a program that encourages energy conservation and Time-of-Use rates with a special offer of a free pre-programmed power bar that only turns on during the lowest priced times (9pm - 7am) to charge handheld electronic devices, while supplies last.
For this event, only portable electronics are accepted for safe recycling with OES – those small enough to fit in a backpack, such as mp3 players, cell phones, laptops and cameras.
