Getting Help with Your Petition

Registrar's Office

  • We are happy to answer questions about the petition process, accept your documentation, and offer general support to ensure that your petition is complete. For specialized support, we recommend that you utilize on-campus services listed below.

Academic Advising
& Career Centre

  • If you think your petition is not straight-forward, or if you are having problems that interfere significantly with your academic work, please make an appointment with an Academic & Learning Strategist.
  • They are familiar with the petitions process, and specialize in advising students on their academic well-being. Prior to submitting your petition, they can work with you and review your statement and offer general feedback to ensure that your request is substantial and clear.

AccessAbility Services

  • Whether you are currently registered, or would like to seek support from an advisor to determine whether this is the right place for you to be, we encourage you to meet with a Consultant.
  • If your academic performance is being impacted, seeking the right support is the first step to ensuring that the University can work with you to alleviate or remove barriers in order for you to feel supported, and be successful.

Health & Wellness Centre

  • Your health and wellbeing is a top priority for the University, and we urge you to seek support from the professional and wonderful staff at UTSC's Health & Wellness Centre. Nurses, and physicians are readily available throughout the week.
  • Their team of personal counsellors can offer confidential, one-on-one appointments to support you with: addictions, anxiety, bereavement, depression, eating disorders, family problems, low self-esteem, mental health needs, personal crisis, relationship issues, sexuality, social anxiety, stress, and more.
