Volunteer as an IMANI Mentor!
The IMANI Academic Mentorship Program is always looking for committed and passionate University of Toronto students to be mentors. The program is currently welcoming students to participate as Mentors for the second term. Students’ availability and/or interest will determine whether they support Elementary Schools (Tuesdays) or High Schools (Wednesdays). If you are interested, please complete the online application below. Once we review the applications, we will reach out and request that you drop by the SL151 on Monday, January 8th between 12-2pm to complete the registration process for the program.
Monthly Mentor Meetings/Training - UTSC | 5:30 – 8:30pm:
- November 28th or 29th
- January 16th or 17th
- February 27th or 28th
- March 27th or 28th
Day in the Life (elementary) - UTSC | February 20 | 10am – 3pm
Day in the Life (high school) - UTSC | February 21 | 10am – 3pm
Year-End Reflection - UTSC | late March | Time: TBD
IMANI Year-End Recognition Ceremony - UTSC | April 9 | 3 – 7pm

Each year we hire more than 10 University of Toronto students to support and drive the IMANI Academic Mentorship Program. Preference is given to those who have been an IMANI Mentor. We welcome applications from all UofT students who are passionate about access to education for black youth.
