Celebrate ability on December 3rd!
In 1992 the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution declaring that December 3rd each year will be the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. December 3rd is a day to acknowledge and celebrate the ability of people with disabilities and also to increase awareness of disability issues in the community.
The United Nations’ theme for 2016’s observance is: “Achieving 17 Goals for the Future We Want”. For more information please visit the United Nations Enable website or the Canada School of Public Service website for local events.
