Winter Only 2018 applications are due by November 1, 2017

Application Types

Fall/Winter 2017-2018: This application is for students planning to live in residence for the full 2017-2018 Fall & Winter Academic Session (September 2017 - April 2018)


Fall Only 2017: This application is for students intending to live in residence for only the Fall 2017 Academic Session (September 2017 - December 2017).


Winter Only 2018: This application is for students intending to live in residence for only the Winter 2018 Academic Session (January 2018 - April 2018).


*Co-op students: Students who are unsure of their co-op placements for the winter session should apply for the Fall/Winter 2017-2018 residence session and inform the Student Housing & Residence Life office by November 1st, 2017 if they are required to cancel their winter residence reservation due to co-op placement.



There is a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement of 1.6 cumulative to be readmitted to residence.

Preference for first round offers will be given to students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher as well as date of submitted application.

Residence fees from the previous year must be paid in full in by August 1st, 2017 in order to be re-admitted to residence.

How to Apply

  • Students will login to the Student Housing Portal, enter their student number and obtain a password. This password will be emailed to the email address listed in the student's ACORN/ROSI account. Once the password has been obtained the student can log back into the Student Housing Portal and apply for residence.

    Once the Student Housing Portal has been accessed, select Applications on the menu toolbar:


  • The Upper Year Online Residence Agreement can be viewed, saved and/or printed using Adobe Acrobat.

  • Students applying for Fall & Winter or Fall Only have until June 30, 2017 to add, delete or modify their roommate preferences, using a UTSC Roommate ID as well as their housing preference. Please contact the Student Housing Office if you need to know your personal UTSC Roommate ID number.

  • Students will use a credit card for submitting an Online Deposit through the application in the Student Housing Portal.
