Program Description: Storytelling with code
Welcome to the Camp UTSC 5-Day Coding Camp, where campers participate in coding activities using the Scratch coding language. Throughout the week, campers will immerse themselves in creative coding activities, learning to develop captivating stories complete with characters and dialogue using Scratch.
In addition to coding sessions, campers will enjoy a diverse "mini university experience" in the afternoons. They will rotate between sessions in science, computers, and arts and crafts, allowing them to explore various STEM and creative disciplines beyond coding. This enriching afternoon programming ensures a well-rounded education, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and innovation.
The culmination of the week will be an "About Me" project where campers will showcase their coding skills and present their personalized projects to friends. Join us for a week of coding excitement, creativity, and friendship at Camp UTSC!
*Please note that our camp takes place primarily indoors within the university facilities, with limited outdoor exposure. This is due to the nature of our program, which requires a focused and controlled environment for optimal learning.
