Want to prepare tasty pesto and pickled tomatoes?
It is a fun way to get ready for the winter!
Join us on Friday October 26th to learn:
1) How to make kale pesto in a simple way, and
2) How to pickle green tomaotes from the UTSC Rooftop garden.
The workshop will start at the UTSC Rooftop garden where we will harvest the kale and the green tomatoes. Then we will walk to the Culinaria kitchen (SW 313, Science Wing) to make our UTSC homemade pesto recipe and welcome a special guest who will share her pickle recipe with us.
Participants will go back home with their own prepared jar.
No prior cooking experience required. Everyone is welcome!
If you can not attend the entire workshop, we ask participants to do the first 2 hours.
