Watch Professor Zahra Ebrahim’s talk on leadership, collaboration, and diversification of city building. Dr. Ebrahim encourages us that being an expert is not necessary for making changes in our communities, we simply have to be willing collaborators. Getting many people involved in decision making is required in many contexts across Canada—from small suburban storefronts to major cities. She also highlights how the UTSC city studies workshop enriches student learning by providing undergraduates with city building experiences outside of textbooks.
