We are proud to report that Professor Minelle Mahtani received a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for her work in the field of ethnic media in Canada. Professor Mahntani is a journalist and academic who closely studies how minorities are represented in Canadian media. "It was really humbling to have my work highlighted but it was extra special to share in the recognition with peers that I have admired for a long time", said Professor Mahntani. She received her award along with 24 other outstanding Canadians.
