Biography
Stephanie L. Hughes, MSc MPH PhD, is a senior epidemiologist and lecturer in the Department of Health & Society at the University of Toronto Scarborough. She completed a PhD in epidemiology at the University of Guelph with a focus on infectious disease surveillance. Her work experiences include mitigating international outbreaks with the WHO, determining levels of population immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases, and leading surveillance of both COVID-19 and substance-related harms. Stephanie's interests primarily lie in infectious disease, disease surveillance, public health, emerging diseases and epidemiology.
