Executive Director, Human Resource Services
Biography
Desma holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resources & Industrial Relations and Economics; and a Masters degree in Human Resources. Desma started her career at the University of Toronto in September 2015 as the Director, Human Resource Services within University Operations (currently known as Operations & Real Estate Partnerships). In February 2018, Desma joined the Human Resource Services at UTSC where she serves as the Executive Director and reports to the Vice President & Principal.
The UTSC HR office overseas the Human Resources and Payroll for all UTSC staff, faculty and librarians. Human Resource Services aims to enhance the University’s mission and foster a healthy, collaborative and equitable work environment that will attract, develop and retain the best qualified talent to support the campus’ strategic vision of Inspiring Inclusive Excellence.
