Mapping is a notetaking style where you create visual representations of different concepts. You can use shapes and colours to highlight major ideas, and lines to show the relationships between the different concepts.    
 

Advantages  

• Useful for visual learners 
• Best for comparing or demonstrating relationships between different concepts  
• Best for reorganizing notes after lecture to better understand concepts 

Disadvantages  

• May be difficult to organize in lecture -> may need to reorganize afterwards 
• Can be overwhelming if too much information is on one page. Consider creating multiple maps on different pages.
