TRACKS

When researching and quoting sources you must maintain academic integrity by citing sources.  One way to stay organized and reduce the amount of time you spend on editing and finding the sources you used, is to keep track of their sources using a tracker.

Use of a tracker can be especially important if you struggle with attention to detail or reading speed (as you will need to read the material again if you didn't track the page/paragraph or location of what you are citing).

This is a simple way to keep track of those details that you will need when you are finalizing a paper.

Modification of Keeping Track of the Search

For some students, keeping track of these details can be overwhelming and time consuming. This is especially true for students who are in research-intensive courses or programs. The University of Toronto Libraries has different citation management software options for students.
