Management Apprentice Program to Launch

In September of 2005, the UTSC Management Alumni Association (MAA) will launch the long-awaited Management Apprentice Program (MAP) to students in the division of management.

Through partnership with the Management & Economic Students’ Association (MESA), a variety of open competitions will be held on campus in September and October as a part of the apprentice selection process. Management students who qualify as finalists will be given the responsibility of organizing and operating a MESA charitable event in the final round of the contest.

In the end, five outstanding candidates will be chosen as apprentices. The Management Apprentice Program will match these students with alumni and friends of UTSC who have demonstrated outstanding personal success and provide opportunities for students to refine their management and business skills.

The program endeavours to open a line of communication through which the students can benefit from the knowledge and experience of their mentors. The UTSC Management Alumni Association was founded in 1999 to encourage and cultivate life-long relationships among the management alumni and their alma mater, connecting and channeling resources to derive mutual development and growth.
