Connect with Black industry professionals from across the GTA, and prepare for life after university with "A Day with Black Professionals".
Hosted by Student Life Programs' Imani Academic Mentorship Program.
This event is for Black-identifying/of African descent, U of T students.

Our theme is "Trailblazing: Setting the Path for a Legacy".
Many young Black professionals see themselves entering careers where they may be "the only one" or "one of a few", making the experience in the workforce, or academia a daunting experience. This year, we want to take an opportunity to acknowledge, celebrate and learn from Black professionals who are doing amazing work in their industry.

The event consists of industry-specific rooms where professionals will share their career development/journey and students will have an opportunity to learn about the professionals' experience navigating their identity and work.  We will also be facilitating engaging workshops to support your career skills and improve your financial literacy.

Professionals from the following Industries will be featured at the event:

Health & Medical Sciences
Law/Policy & Government
Business & Management
Technology
Arts, Digital Media & Journalism
Community Development/Not-for-Profit
Entrepreneurship
