Dr. Coe is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biology where her research group studies the biology of drug transporters for anti-cancer and anti-viral drugs.  She is internationally recognized as a leader and advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Dr Coe has advised academia, the Canadian government, the tri-council granting agencies, and industry on best practices and approaches to improve EDI in STEM.  She is at the forefront of efforts to adapt the Athena SWAN equity in research program to the Canadian context. Recognized by WXN as a Trail Blazer and one of Canada's Top 100 influential Women in 2016, Dr. Coe will present a talk on EDI in STEM, followed by a discussion.
