Rapper Drake will cheer his basketball team on from the sidelines at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) throughout the summer.
Former Toronto Raptor Jalen Harris and current rapper J. Cole are players on the Scarborough Shooting Stars. The team is the first franchise of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) in the GTA, and the eighth overall. Intended as a by-Canadians-for-Canadians league, three-quarters of its players are homegrown canucks — the highest percentage of any professional league in the nation.
Games will be held at TPASC on June 4, 7, 25 and 27; July 3, 7, 17, 19, 24 and 28; and August 10. Tickets can be found online.
