First Year Students are invited to move into Residence at their assigned times. Once you are settled in, get ready to meet fellow students at various Residence Orientation activities. Students living in Residence will receive additional details via email and Residence Life Staff.

SCSU's Frosh is an informal and fun environment where First Years get to make connections with other students and faculty! Make sure to buy your ticket so you can join the fun!

New to UTSC and Canada? Join the International Student Centre for orientation workshops for all new international students at UTSC.

Come gather with us around the fire as we welcome in the new school year at UTSC. Meet new friends, connect with old friends and have a cup of gratitude with our Indigenous community. This event is open to all UTSC students, staff and faculty.

This fun, interactive event will have representation from different departments including Athletics and Recreation, Health & Wellness, Arts, Culture and Media, and much more!  Students will learn about different programs and services that reflect UTSC as a health promoting campus. Activities will be running in various locations across campus; including the HW patio, Quad and the Terrace!

The Computer and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) Orientation will be consisted of networking, club fair, faculty panel, campus resource sharing, and great activities hosted by the department and student association. It’s not too late to join a First Year Learning Community (FLC)! The First Year Learning Communities Program is a registered program that groups first-year students by their program of study.

Explore all of the campus groups and clubs UTSC has to offer by visiting the Clubs Fair on September 19 and 20! No registration is required.

Did you know that all U of T students have access to Hart House, an Arts, Fitness, and Cultural hub in one of U of T’s historic buildings? Explore all that Hart House has to offer with a trip there! A bus will be provided from UTSC to Hart House, on the St. George Campus. Make sure to sign up on the link below to reserve your spot.

The International Student Centre will host a Winter Orientation new international students and incoming exchange students.  The orientation will include how to handle winter blues and adapt in a new environment.  Lunch will be provided.  New students may join a tour to the classrooms before class starts.  

This event is for new and exchange students starting classes in the Winter 2024 term.

To commence the Winter Welcome series, join us for the Winter Welcome Celebration! The Winter Welcome Celebration is a celebration of the new semester as well as a celebration of the winter season! Starting at the Student Centre, there will be various outdoor activities like ice sculptures, guided hikes, a bonfire, and winter games! There will also be free food, giveaways, prizes, and more! 

A welcome and mix & mingle to all Black Identified Students of Afro, Caribbean, Canadian Communities. 

Join Campus Safety for ball hockey! Shoot a ball at a hockey net to hit targets in the net. Prizes such as granola bars, fruits and other healthy snacks for hitting the targets. 

Join us the week of January 15th for lots of fun-filled activities, food, and more! Find out how you can get involved in various co-curricular activities, events and programs. Come drop-in and de-stress, pay a visit to our great fitness facilities, or just come hang out with friends in one of the many cool places at Hart House.

The #WellnessUTSC Fair, in collaboration between the Health & Wellness Centre, Athletics & Recreation and AccessAbility, looks forward to helping you refresh your Wellness Resolutions! With over 30 booths hosted by the Health & Wellness Centre Wellness Peer Program, campus departments, student clubs, and community organizations, the UTSC community will be engaged with interactive activities, prizes, education about all the resources available to support your goals in 2024!
