Selection Criteria

1│ Academics

There is no minimum GPA required for the program; however, grades are a significant component of the acceptance criteria and students with an exceptional academic track record will be at an advantage in the process.

2│ Leadership experience

We are seeking students who exhibit superior leadership skills and have demonstrated an ability to make a meaningful impact in their past experiences, whether that is related to work, extra-curriculars, community work, athletics, etc.

3│ Work experience

Candidates will be evaluated on the quality of their past work experience. The LFP is seeking students that have demonstrated fundamental skills and attributes such as leadership, teamwork, initiative, ability and willingness to accept and action feedback, and exceptional work ethic in their professional experiences.

4│ Personal development

We are looking for students with diverse and unique perspectives. As a result, candidates will be evaluated on the degree to which they have had unique and interesting experiences in life. Ultimately, we’d like to know how the applicant is different and what makes them stand out.

Note: Running a fair and equitable selection process is paramount for the LFP. The selection committee will evaluate candidates against the criteria listed in as objective a manner as possible. However, it must be recognized by all candidates that there are various components of the selection criteria, some of which are quantifiable, and others that are highly subjective – as a result, despite the potential for being subjective at times, candidates are asked to trust the fairness of the process.
