African Impact Pitch Day 2022

Poster for the competition

Overview

Join us on Dec 2, for an interactive pitch day with Africa's best investors and founders. The top 16 African Impact Challenge startups are receiving $200,000 as finalists. Attendees will vote for the winners of additional $30,000 in grant awards with our investor judges, and share helpful feedback to the founders on what they are building. This is a great chance to learn what's important when building early-stage startups in Africa.

The goal of the African Impact Challenge is to build the Africa we want to see, by investing in our continent’s early innovators. We are enabling them to build market-creating innovations, which tackle the continent's biggest challenges with technology. In addition to the funding and venture building support, finalists receive an all expense covered trip for 3 months to live in Toronto's vibrant startup ecosystem. It is run with support from University of Toronto and the Mastercard Foundation.

Investor Judges

Our judges include leading investors from Villgro Africa, Future Africa, Nairobi Business Angels, Rwanda Business Angels, Kenya's Lion's Den, African Leadership University, Ashesi University and Diversified Impact Fund.
