While it is tempting and we all need help sometimes, you should be careful in use of these services. Some of them could give you an unfair academic advantage and you could get in trouble for an academic offence.

As a UTSC student, it is your job to know what is and is not an acceptable services to use. UTSC has guidelines on what academic offences are in the Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters (link). As a UTSC student, you are expected to have read and understood the Code.

Writing essays and citing properly is a skill you can learn. Visit The Writing Centre as soon as you get your syllabus to get started on the right foot with your essays.
English is a challenging language for many students. The English Language Development Centre can help you expand your vocabulary while doing your coursework.
Facilitated Study Groups are a very effective way of getting ready for tests and exams.
Seeking the help of an outside tutor is okay as long as they do not help you with the work you are handing in. Tutors should help you understand the subject better, but they should not do your work.
