Ready to accept?

Follow these steps to accept your offer of admission:

Step 1
Review and download your offer of admission letter for instructions and acceptance deadline on JOIN U of T.

Step 2
Accept your offer through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) before the acceptance deadline.

Step 3
Check JOIN U of T for a status change to “Accepted” within two business days of accepting your offer on OUAC.

Step 4
Meet any conditions of your offer of admission, including completing courses, submitting any required material, and maintaining the required admission average.

IMPORTANT: International students

Admission deposit for international students
If you are a new international student (a student who requires a study permit to study in Canada), you are required to make a non-refundable admission deposit as a part of accepting your offer of admission. The admission deposit will be applied to your student account and towards your tuition fees. Paying an admission deposit holds your spot at U of T Scarborough. Make sure to accept your offer of admission and pay your admission deposit through ACORN ahead of your offer acceptance deadline.

We recommend downloading your offer of admission letter from JOIN U of T for your records. The International Student Centre at U of T Scarborough will support you with information on obtaining your study permit and arrival in Canada.

Transfer credits

High school & secondary curriculums
High school and secondary curriculum courses are automatically assessed by U of T Scarborough. Please ensure you have submitted your final official transcripts from the relevant exam board to be assessed for transfer credit. More information can be found on the high school & secondary curriculums web page.

CEGEP
Your offer package will inform you if you need to apply for a transfer credit assessment. If this is the case, visit the CEGEP transfer credit web page for more information and to fill out an application. There is a $30 fee for a transfer credit assessment.

College & university
Your offer package will inform you if you need to apply for a transfer credit assessment. If this is the case, visit the college & university transfer credit web page for more information and to fill out the application. There is a $30 fee for a transfer credit assessment. Internal applicants should visit the U of T internal transfer web page for detailed instructions.

If you are transferring from a Canadian post-secondary institution, use the Transfer Explorer database to determine which transfer credits you will likely receive as part of your assessment.
