Computer Science is an extremely fast paced and exciting field. After a short 2 or 3 decades, computer science now permeates virtually every other academic discipline. From computational biology, to digital humanities, to social networks, to cognitive science, to assistive living, to green homes, Computer Science plays a critical role. Indeed, computers are fundamentally changing the way we live. Below are the Computer Science courses and programs of study offered at UTSC. Please note, we also offer several courses specifically designed for students not in Computer Science programs.

Computer Science Courses for Non-Program Students

CSCA20 and CSCB20 serve as introductions to applied aspects of Computer Science for students enrolled in programs other than Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics. CSCA20 is primarily an introduction to computer programming, and CSCB20 concentrates on the basics of computer database programming and web programming.
