Jaclyn Rohel was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Culinaria Research Centre 2020-21. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on cities, public culture and the marketplace. She has written on culinary mobilities and innovation in global foodways, on hospitality and material culture, and on social issues that intersect health and urban governance. Jaclyn holds an interdisciplinary PhD in Food Studies from New York University, where her dissertation analyzed the global politics of a contested street food. Her ongoing projects on food work and microenterprise intersect vending, markets and community kitchens. Jaclyn is the Reviews Editor at Gastronomica: The Journal for Food Studies.
