Lecturer: David Fleet
Topic: Visual Perception as Bayesian Inference: Looking at People
David Fleet is Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at UTSC. His research is interdisciplinary, spanning computational problems in computer vision, visual perception and visual neuroscience.
His recent research has focused on visual motion perception and the inference of human pose and motion. He has received numerous awards, including an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship. He is currently Associate Editor-In-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Advanced Research.
