Shake off the winter blues with arts and cultural events

by Eleni Kanavas and Mary Ann Gratton
Winter got you down? Don’t be blue … Arts & Events Programming (AEP) at the University of Toronto Scarborough will lift your spirits with Winter Blues Fest.
A lively slate of music and cultural events has been organized for the first week in February by the AEP office, representing the Department of Humanities.
“The first annual Winter Blues Fest offers a ‘pick-me-up’ for everyone,” said Lynn Tucker, director, AEP. “We’re offering musical performances, cool talks and workshops, and art exhibits – including free snow cones being given away at the Doris McCarthy Gallery – and another must-see, UTSC Poetry Idol.”
The activities take place from February 1 to February 5. Scroll down for a listing of upcoming events.
All of the activities are free and open to the public, and AEP encourages everyone to come out and enjoy them.
