Two U of T Scarborough researchers have been awarded research chairs in artificial intelligence by the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR), a pillar of Canada’s AI strategy.

David Fleet and Daniel Roy from UTSC's Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences are among four new U of T chairs named on Tuesday. These four join the existing eight from U of T who were named among the inaugural group last fall, all of whom are associated with the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
