Academic Programs Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages processes related to UTQAP for the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), including conducting Cyclical Reviews, reviewing and reporting curriculum change, the creation of new academic programs, and the publication of the Academic Calendar 

• Supervises the work of staff within the Programs & Curriculum unit 

• Supports and advises the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs & Curriculum, Vice-Dean Teaching, Learning & Undergraduate Programs, and the Vice-Dean, Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies on UTQAP processes and practices at UTSC  

• Supervises processes related to administration of Joint Programs with Centennial College 

The Academic Programs Officer manages activities related to academic programs - strategic planning and implementation processes; program development/delivery; program closures; development of academic pathways; program quality assurance/improvement, and program review. 

Mr. Mak advises on academic policy, regulations, and practice; as well as overseeing the production of the online U of T Scarborough Academic Calendar.
