UTSC Summer Harvest Day was a success! Elder Wendy Phillips and the IC Rooftop Garden Coordinator, Kiana Bonnick, led a group of students, staff, faculty and community members to harvest the produce from the IC Rooftop Garden. We harvested 40 pounds of food which was given to Native Child and Family Services and N'sheemaehn Child Care Centre, which included: zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce, beets, basil, dill, oregano, parsley, mint and much more.
Healthy Campus set up a booth and hosted a raffle for a chance to win a Healthy Campus gift bag, which includes a glass Healthy Campus Infusible Water bottle.
This event also featured our partnerships with portfolios that promoted the Healthy Campus Initiatve.
