UTSC students hail from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and their unique perspectives, experiences and talents are showcased every year during the highly anticipated student-run event Mosaic. If previous years are any measure, hundreds of people will pack the UTSC Meeting Place to watch students dance, sing, play music and demonstrate great pride in their rich cultural heritages. Mosaic provides a venue for performers of the Irish step dance, Punjabi bhangra, belly dancing and hip hop, alongside soca musicians, rappers and spoken-word artists.
