Congratulations, class of 2019!
From showing off Raptors pride, family photos in front of University College, and of course those with faculty and mentors, U of T Scarborough's newest graduates celebrated their achievements across two days of ceremonies at Convocation Hall last week.
The ceremonies included speeches by U of T Scarborough alumni Mike DeGagné, the first Indigenous university president in Canada at Nipissing University, and multi-award winning entrepreneur Hamza Khan.
Eugenia Duodu, chemist and CEO of Vision of Science, which aims to empower youth with STEM education, addressed science graduates. Canadian music icon Buffy Sainte-Marie received an honorary degree in recognition of her advocacy and philanthropy throughout her decades-long career.
