Degree:

Specialist in Philosophy with a minor in Bioethics

Year of Study:

4th

Bio:

In my first year at UTSC, I took a class on Environmental Ethics that sparked my interest in philosophy, particularly applied ethics. I enjoy philosophy as it creates a space to engage in thoughtful discussions about the ways we perceive the world. As the President of the APS, I’m excited to spearhead initiatives that foster a sense of community amongst philosophy students. One in which students can collaborate, seek help, and support each other.

Degree:

Double Major in Philosophy and Political Science

Year of Study:

Bio:

I fell in love with philosophy in my first year here at UTSC but I was not that good at it but I decided to stick with it anyway as I enjoyed it. Now I am in fourth year and my philosophy classes are consistently what I do best in and I am part of the APS and the Socrates Project. I want to help first and second year philosophy students transition into writing and reading philosophy as it is so much different than any other discipline.

Degree:

Major in Biology, Minor Bioethics & Psychology

Year of Study:

4th

Bio:  I’ve always loved philosophy since the first introductory class I took back in first year. At times, it was a bit challenging, but I believe that to be the reason why I found it so intriguing. Now, as the vice president of Events at the APS, I plan to organize fun and unique philosophical events that I hope can provide fun ways of engaging with the traditional philosophy we learn

Bio:  Hi Y'all! I'll be one of the Vice Presidents of Events this coming year, and look forward to meeting you all! My time at UofT has created and fostered my passion for Philosophy, and I wish to share that with you all with fun events throughout the year. My interests in philosophy, as you will come to know from meeting me, are in 17th and 18th Century philosophy, especially Kant; so always feel free to chat about that (or anything philosophy related) with me!
