Hire Power wins gold

A popular UTSC “survival skills” employment conference recently won high honours at the District II Accolades Awards competition sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

“Hire Power: Strategies for Finding and Keeping Work”—organized by UTSC’s Development and Alumni Relations Office and the Academic Advising & Career Centre—garnered gold at the prestigious Accolades event of CASE, a professional association that fosters excellence in alumni relations, communications, development and marketing at post-secondary educational institutions. The four-day conference offers new graduates in-depth workshops on skills such as interview strategy, financial literacy, personal branding and networking.

This year’s edition of “Hire Power,” jointly sponsored by TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, MBNA and Manulife Financial, is tentatively scheduled for April 30–May 3. For more information, visit www.utsc.utoronto.ca/alumni/hirepower.
