Courses (PhD)

EES2200H Advanced Seminar in Environmental Science

This course is designed to introduce doctoral students to the methods of research in environmental science, and expose students to the range of expertise within the faculty. Students are expected to write a review paper on a topic related to their thesis but seen from the perspective of a different discipline.  Students present a seminar on their research area that serves as a preliminary research proposal.  Lecture time is used to cover literature review, presentation, work scheduling, and job searching skills.

The class meets every other week throughout the fall and winter terms. The course is restricted to those students enrolled in the PhD in Environmental Science program.

If students want to take a graduate course offered by another graduate department at the University of Toronto, they need to complete an SGS Add/Drop Course(s) form and submit it to the Graduate Programs Administrator PhD so that it can be approved by the Graduate Chair of Physical and Environmental Sciences.
