Introduction

With more than 80,000 registered students, the University of Toronto is one of the largest public research universities in North America. Established in 1827, it has more than 560,000 living alumni and current students from more than 160 countries. It is located in Toronto — Canada’s largest city and one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. The University of Toronto has been ranked among the top 25 universities in the world by the prestigious QS World University Rankings. Through the years, the alumni have included 10 Nobel laureates, two governors-general, and four prime ministers of Canada.

The University has three campuses: St. George campus in downtown Toronto, Mississauga campus, and Scarborough campus. It offers over 700 undergraduate programs; many second entry professional programs in education, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, law, and medicine; and more than 200 masters and doctoral programs in a wide variety of fields. The University is ranked first in Canada and among the top 20 by various international ranking systems.  

For over 19 years, U of T Scarborough has been attracting the best and brightest international students from China and helping them with their application process and transition into our undergraduate programs.

The Green Path Program comprises two parts:

1.  A 12-week University of Toronto Summer Academic Preparation program, which includes a half-credit course, “Exploring Inter-Cultural Perspectives in Academic Contexts”

2.  A 12-week summer residential experience at U of T Scarborough (the Academic Preparation program is completed during this residence period)

In the last 19 years, more than 4,000 students have the Green Path program through a number of partner schools and organizations. Our graduates have gone on to exciting careers in various fields worldwide and many others have successfully pursued further education at the Masters and Doctoral level.
