Dr. Helm's research interests include the fate and transport of organic contaminants in aquatic and urban environment; environmental chemistry of legacy and emerging persistent and bioaccumulative organic pollutants; passive sampling approaches to monitor and track fate of hydrophobic and polar chemicals; non-targeted analyses of chemicals in environmental matrices, Great Lakes contaminant issues.
