First Year Peers are upper-year students that help first year students in their transition to university. Over the summer and prior to classes, your First Year Peer will contact you via email in order to share resources and to answer your questions. First Year Peers also host First Year Learning Communities and First Year Events.
Beginning in June and throughout the school year, you will receive regular emails from your First Year Peer. Your First Year Peer will share important resources, remind you of important dates and deadlines, and respond to your questions.
I haven't heard from my First Year Peer. What should I do?
You should hear from your First Year Peer by mid-June or within 2 weeks of accepting your offer to UTSC (if after June 1st). If you do not hear from your First Year Peer during this time, please contact us at firstyear.utsc@utoronto.ca. You can also access the First Year Peer directory here.
We also encourage you to ensure that your contact information on Acorn is up-to-date.
