Program summary

The Joint Program in Paramedicine offered by U of T Scarborough and Centennial College allows students to supplement an academic grounding in the sciences with the practical knowledge and skills required for this demanding and highly specialized field. This program provides an ideal opportunity for a rewarding career as a Paramedic - a professional in the health sciences/medical field. It combines the academic aspects of University study with the practical aspects of College study.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree program from the University of Toronto leads to qualification for the Paramedic diploma from Centennial College of Applied Arts & Technology. Students become eligible to take the Ministry of Health Advanced Emergency Medical Care Attendant (AEMCA) exam required to qualify as a paramedic. This challenging program combines theory, laboratory work, and extensive practical field experience.

Please note: this program is only available to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and protected persons (convention refugees).
