Students walk to class

Program summary

This Double Degree program creates a pathway for students who want to pursue a Specialist in both English and Psychology. The program allows you to complete both undergraduate programs and degrees within five years without compromising the core requirements of either studies.

English at U of T Scarborough encompasses the written text (fiction and non-fiction), the oral text (stories and poems), and the visual text (graphic novels and film). We explore the significance of words we use, the way expression in words plays a role in communication and the ways writers and artists seek to change culture.

Psychology is the study of understanding human mind. It is defined by innovative experiments and ground-breaking research that continuously unlock the infinite secrets of the psyche. The psychology program offers the opportunity to understand and investigate various areas of psychology: how humans learn, adapt, and remember; how they change over their lifetimes; how they are affected by the presence of others; and, how their behaviour relates to their physiological functions.

Admission to this program is after your first year at U of T Scarborough. For more information about applying to Psychology & English, please refer to the Academic Calendar.
