Program summary

Sociology is the scientific study of interaction between people, including the establishment of social relationships and formation of social groups. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the role of sociology in the order and function of society. Courses will also focus on the consequences and outcomes of co-operation, competition, and conflict. Students will develop critical thinking skills in order to challenge current perspectives of social cohesion, stratification, mobility, and change.
