September 2020 Move In: By appointment
The move in period is from Septmber 3 to 6. You will need an appointment time to move into residence.
Appointments will be available for sign up on the StarRez Portal starting Thursday, August 20 at 12:00pm.
Students completing a mandatory quarantine prior to their arrival at UTSC will be assigned an appointment time.
If you are arriving for the beginning of the Fall session but after the scheduled move in period, you are required to notify our office of your late arrival. If will arrive between September 7 to 30, email firstname.lastname@example.org before August 21, 2020 with your name, student number, date and time of arrival. Due to COVID, all move ins are by appointment only. You will need to have a confirmed check in appointment to move into residence.
Students who do not check in on time without prior notice are at risk of losing their space in residence.
Room assignments will be sent approximately two weeks ahead of your move in date. Room assignments may be subject to change prior to move in day.
Pre-order your linens
Our partnership with Residence Linens offers you the opportunity to pre-order your bedding and linens right to your residence room. If you order by August 21, 2020, your bedding will be in your room when you arrive on move-in day. View options at: https://residencelinens.com/.
All incoming-first year students are automatically registered for Residence Orientation at no additional cost. Residence Orientation is an exciting program that offers first-year students the chance to get to know fellow students in the residence community and become familiar with their new home in a comfortable yet exciting environment. Item/Unit Condition Report
Each resident is required to complete a unit condition report verifying the condition of their residence room at move-in. This is an opportunity for students to identify and report any damaged or missing elements so that they can be fixed and to ensure that they are not held responsible for any damage the did not cause. This form must be completed within 48 hours of moving in or your room will be deemed satisfactory.
If you find that anything is missing or damaged at move-in, or throughout the year, you should submit a Repair Request form on the StarRez Portal.
