What to bring

Packing tips

  • Label your boxes with your name
  • Pack in boxes or containers that are easy to move
  • Don't overpack!
  • If you are bringing newly purchased items, where possible, remove them from packaging before you arrive

Helpful items to bring:

  • Ear plugs and mask for sleeping
  • Table top fan
  • Personal portable bidet if you use one

If desired, you can order bedding, bath linens and closet storage from Residence Linens or My Dorm Store.

 

Not permitted in all residence spaces:

  • Candles, incense, halogen lamps, heaters, and heat lamps
  • Extra furniture 
  • Large appliances
  • Open pot deep fryers
  • Instant Hot Pots (Self-heating)
  • Cooking or camping fuel canisters 
  • Nails, tacks, masking tape, duct tape, scotch tape or other adhesive products to affix posters to walls
  • Items that promote unsafe alcohol consumption (drinking game tables, funnels, kegs, etc.) 
  • Illegal substances, non-prescribed drugs/narcotics, or drug paraphernalia (hookahs, bongs, pipes, vaporizers, etc.) 
  • Large stereos, sub-woofers or DJ equipment 
  • Weapons
  • Pets (Not including service animals)
